Name: Blueberry x Blueberry x Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum × Vaccinium angustifolium Vaccinium uliginosum)
Origin: They were bred mainly in Finland with the aim of achieving extreme frost resistance and adaptation to a short growing season with long days. They are often hybrids of half-high blueberries with local wild species (mainly bog blueberry).
Characteristic features
Growth: Low to half-high, very compact shrub (0.5-1.2 m).
Fruits: Medium-sized, the taste is often a unique blend of the sweetness of half-high blueberries and the aromatic taste of wild species. They ripen very quickly in temperate zones.
Adaptation: Perfectly adapted to harsh conditions, very resistant to disease.
Frost resistance: Extreme, comparable to medium-sized varieties, up to -40°C.
