The blueberry is a popular shrub for its berries, their flavour and versatile use in everyday cooking, confectionery and when eaten raw. The basis of cultivation is acid soil, more precisely peat, which is commonly available in every gardening shop and in stores dedicated to tools and gardening supplies. Peat with a so-called acid pH and, consequently, suitable fertilisers with the right top dressing are the prerequisites for the plant's yield and vitality.
