- Apricot Goldrich originates from the USA and was developed by crossing the Sunglo and Perfection varieties. This apricot is considered a self-pollinating variety, meaning it can produce fruit without the need for cross-pollination.
- The Goldrich apricot tree is of medium vigor and reaches an average height of 3 to 4.5 meters, making it suitable for backyard cultivation, as it allows for easy care and fruit harvesting.
- Goldrich apricot blooms in spring, typically in April/May. The exact timing of flowering may vary depending on specific climatic conditions and the geographic location of the growing area. As a self-pollinating variety, Goldrich is capable of producing fruit even without pollinators.
- The fruit of Goldrich apricot is large, with an average weight of up to 90 grams. They have a round shape, smooth and shiny skin, and a yellow-orange to orange color. The fruits typically ripen from mid-July.
- The flesh of Goldrich apricots is sweet, juicy, and aromatic. It has a delicate and pleasant taste, and the pit separates easily from the flesh, making it easier to consume. The flesh itself is firm.
- Goldrich apricot is considered one of the most flavorful apricot varieties. Its fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for making various desserts, jams, preserves, and even alcoholic beverages.
- Goldrich apricot prefers a sunny location with ample direct sunlight. The soil should be well-draining while retaining moisture. It is recommended to fertilize the tree in spring before flowering and periodically throughout the growing season.
- Our Goldrich apricot trees can be planted year-round as they have a fully developed root system, which enhances their ability to bear fruit.
