'Romus 3' is the result of international cooperation between the USA (Rutgers University) and Romania (ICDP Pitești). It is considered one of the most valuable summer varieties. Thanks to its genetic resistance to Scab (Vf gene), it is ideal for organic orchards and gardens with minimal chemical protection.

Variety Characteristics

Tree

• Vigor: Medium, spherical crown.
• Bearing: Bears on short spurs, starts quickly (3rd year), constant production (approx. 25 t/ha).

Fruit

• Size and Weight: Medium size, 125 – 135 g.
• Shape and Color: Ovoid-conical. Base color is yellowish, with 2/3 of the surface covered in bright red. Skin is glossy and durable.
• Flesh: White, fine, reasonably firm, and juicy.
• Taste: Sweet-sour, refreshing, aromatic, very good.
• Usage: Intended for fresh consumption.
