'Intercontinental' is an excellent Dutch black currant variety, considered one of the best of its kind. It is popular for its upright and compact growth (suitable also for hedges), high yield, and large, aromatic fruits. It is characterized by robustness and resistance to diseases and drought.

• Cluster: Shorter, contains 4 – 5 berries.
• Taste: Aromatic, sweet-sour.
• Usage: Universal. The aroma develops excellently during processing (jams, juices, liqueurs). High Vitamin C content.

Resistance and Requirements

• Resistance: Robust variety with high resistance to diseases (especially powdery mildew), pests, frost, and drought.
• Requirements: Light-loving, low maintenance. Requires permeable soil, does not tolerate waterlogging.
