Cherry (Prunus avium) 'Pacific Red'
Early self-fertile American variety with large and crunchy fruits.
'Pacific Red' is a premium American cherry variety licensed by Cot International. It is valued primarily for its self-fertility (very important pollinator for 'Nimba') and high, annual productivity. The fruits are large, firm, and achieve high sugar content (18° Brix).
Main advantages of the variety:
- Self-fertility and excellent pollination capability (e.g., for 'Nimba').
- Large fruits (28 – 30 mm) with crunchy flesh.
- Excellent sweet taste (18° Brix) and low acidity.
- Extremely high and regular yield.
- Rapid time till first cropping.
