Plum (Prunus domestica) 'Centenar'
Highly productive Romanian variety with resistance to Sharka (PPV).
'Centenar' is one of the most significant Romanian plum varieties, bred at the Piteşti – Mărăcineni institute. It provides high yields of quality fruits that resemble the popular ‘Tuleu Gras’ variety in taste.
Main advantages of the variety:
- Resistance (high tolerance) to Plum Pox Virus (PPV).
- High and constant yield (potential up to 30 t/ha).
- Large fruits with a small stone.
- Resistance to frost and drought.
- Excellent taste.
