Plum (Prunus domestica) 'Silvia'

Romanian August variety with large and crunchy fruits.

'Silvia' is a high-quality Romanian plum variety bred at the Piteşti – Mărăcineni institute by crossing ‘Renclod Althan’ and ‘Early Rivers’. It is particularly popular as a table variety due to its large, attractive fruits with crunchy flesh.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Large fruits (around 55 g).
  • Excellent crunchy and juicy flesh.
  • Attractive appearance with thick bloom.
  • Good pollinator for other varieties.
  • Resistance to Red leaf spot.
