Family Apple Tree (4 in 1): Baltais Dzidrais + Krapes Cukuriņš + Beržeņinku Ananass + Bohemia

An exceptional multi-grafted tree combining top Latvian, Lithuanian, and Czech varieties. Enjoy a sequential harvest from the first summer transparents to the premium winter 'Bohemia'.

1. Apple 'Baltais Dzidrais' (White Transparent / Early Summer Variety)

The famous "White Transparent." A classic summer apple with a refreshing sweet-sour taste, ideal for fresh eating, purees, and pies.

The season on this tree is opened by 'Baltais Dzidrais' (commonly known as White Transparent or Papirovka). It excels in absolute low-maintenance requirements, early cropping, and an unmistakable flavor that, for many, is the synonym of childhood and summer.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Very early ripening: One of the first summer treats on the tree.
  • Refreshing taste: Sweet-sour, very tender, and juicy flesh.
  • Versatility: Great eaten straight off the tree, unbeatable for applesauce and pies.
  • Low maintenance: Highly frost-hardy tree with good resistance to apple scab.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Medium to large apples with the typical pale yellow to green-yellow skin.
  • Harvest Time: Very early, picked at the turn of July and August.
  • Storability: None. Reaches eating maturity immediately after picking.

2. Apple 'Krapes Cukuriņš' (Late Summer Variety)

The sweet "Candy from Krape" – an exceptionally delicious Latvian variety with low acidity, highly favored by children.

During August, the 'Krapes Cukuriņš' variety ripens. It is a Latvian seedling (likely a cross between 'Cukuriņš' × 'Baltais Dzidrais') distinguished by a sweet aromatic flavor and very early onset of bearing.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Candy-like sweetness: Sweet, aromatic flesh with minimal acidity (similar to 'Konfetnoye').
  • Early bearing: Starts producing fruit very quickly after planting with high yields.
  • Resilience: Good frost hardiness and high resistance to powdery mildew.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Medium to smaller spherical fruits. Greenish-yellow color with nice pink to red stripes on the sunny side.
  • Harvest Time: Late summer variety, ripening during August.

3. Apple 'Beržeņinku Ananass' (Autumn Variety)

A famous Lithuanian jewel featuring large fruits, high disease resistance, and an unsurpassed pineapple fragrance.

In early autumn, 'Beržeņinku Ananass' (syn. Beržininkų ananasas), an old variety discovered in 1886, takes the stage. It is highly valued for its large fruits, which turn a beautiful ivory color at maturity, and its excellent health profile.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Aromatic Flavor: Outstanding, sweet-sour taste with a typical, robust pineapple note.
  • Large Fruits: Average weight of up to 155 g.
  • High Resistance: Fully resistant to scab, powdery mildew, and fruit rot.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Roundish-conical fruits, yellow to ivory with an orange blush on the sunny side. The flesh is firm and juicy.
  • Harvest Time: Late August to early September. Keeps in the cellar until December.

4. Apple 'Bohemia' (Early Winter Variety)

One of the finest Czech varieties. Bright red, large fruits with a crunchy, exceptionally sweet and aromatic flesh.

The winter finale on this tree belongs to the outstanding Czech variety 'Bohemia' (color sport of the famous 'Rubín'). It is highly appreciated for its very attractive, large fruits and its excellent sweet taste, making it a top-tier dessert fruit for long-term storage.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Dessert Quality: Sweet, fragrant, and highly aromatic flesh (rated 4.5 out of 5).
  • Huge Fruits: Large, uniformly round, dark red apples that do not require thinning.
  • Excellent Storability: Keeps in the cellar in top condition until February/March.
  • Highly versatile for both fresh eating and cooking.
Pruning Tip
  • Pruning: The variety bears fruit on the tips of long canes. It therefore requires specific, gentle pruning—one-year-old wood must not be shortened regularly, otherwise you will lose the harvest.
