Lonicera kamtschatica cultivar Zojka belongs to relatively young varieties, or new bred varieties, which, however, have quickly established themselves in the offers of dealers and gardens of those interested because of their productivity and minimal requirements. Ground elder, otherwise also known as Kamchatka blueberry, generally represents an interesting alternative to the classic blueberry, which does not require acidic soil or substantial regular care. The Zojka variety wins over growers for its fruit size, pleasant flavour and also for its ability to grow even in cold foothill growing areas. Frost resistance is often quoted as being as low as -40°C (-40°F). Groundnut flowers can also survive mild frosts. It can be self-pollinating, but requires full pollination for fruit production, for example by the variety Wojtek or others. It is the principle that groundsel will reward itself with a bumper crop when grown in combination with several varieties. In the second year after planting, the Zojka will produce large fruits that may be typical of ground elder - shaped and variously deformed dark green fruits with a fine waxing, but in shape they will resemble cranberries more than other varieties. They ripen during May.

The ideal position is partial shade, although it will tolerate full sun. However, too strong a sun with irregular watering may result in the leaves drying out and dying. The shrub can reach a height of up to 2 metres at maturity and can be about the same size in width. Growing experience suggests yields of up to nearly 5 kilograms per adult bush. It does not suffer from disease or common pests. Minimises the cost of chemical protection and prevention. The young plant requires regular watering and, due to its shallow roots, it is advisable to cover the surrounding area with mulch so that the nutrient supply is not hindered by weeds.
