Plum (Prunus domestica) 'Baya Aurelia'
New German self-fertile variety with yellow fruits and compact growth.
'Baya Aurelia' is a modern German plum variety bred by Dr. Michael Neumüller at the Technical University of Munich. It is unique for its aromatic yellow fruits, which taste similar to apricots. Thanks to its weak growth and small crown, it is ideal for smaller gardens, balconies (in pots), or hedges.
Main advantages of the variety:
- Suitable for small gardens and pots (weak growth).
- Self-fertility (does not require a pollinator).
- Attractive yellow fruits with a pink blush and aromatic taste.
- Firm, golden-yellow flesh (separates well from the stone).
- Very early bearing onset (often in the 2nd year).
- Robust and resistant variety (replacement for sensitive varieties).
