Apple (Malus domestica) 'Remar'
Modern autumn variety with large fruits and fruit set self-regulation.
'Remar' is a modern autumn apple variety bred at the SCDP Voinești station. It is valued for its large, juicy fruits and resistance to Scab. A unique feature of this variety is the ability to self-regulate fruit set, which simplifies cultivation and ensures regular yields.
Main advantages of the variety:
- Self-regulation of fruit set (reduces need for thinning).
- Resistance to Scab.
- Large fruits (up to 200 g).
- Very juicy flesh.
- High and regular yield (30 – 35 t/ha).

Variety Characteristics
Tree
- Vigor: Medium to strong.
- Bearing: Bears fruit on short spurs as well as longer shoots.
- Specifics: The tree has the capability of fruit set self-regulation.
- Yield: Regular, average yield 30 – 35 tons/ha.

- Shape and Color: Truncated conical with a broad base. Brick-red color on the sunny side, turning yellow-orange near the calyx.
