Pear (Pyrus communis) 'Triumf'

Early summer variety with buttery flesh and an attractive red blush.

'Triumf' is an excellent summer pear variety bred at the Romanian institute Piteşti – Mărăcineni. It was created by crossing ‘Napoca’ and ‘Beurré Giffard’. It is popular for its early ripening (as early as mid-July) and very tasty fruits with fine, buttery flesh and distinct red coloration.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Early ripening (second decade of July).
  • Attractive fruits (50 – 60% of the surface is red).
  • Buttery, fine, and sweet flesh.
  • Resistance to Scab and Leaf spot.
  • Good to high productivity.
