A unique fruit tree combining the gems of the Baltics and Central Asia. Enjoy sequential ripening from fragrant autumn fruits to winter apples storable until spring.

1. Apple 'Beržeņinku Ananass' (Autumn Variety)

A famous Lithuanian jewel featuring large fruits, high disease resistance, and an unsurpassed pineapple fragrance.

The season on this tree is opened by 'Beržeņinku Ananass' (syn. Beržininkų ananasas), an old variety discovered in 1886. It is highly valued for its large fruits, which turn a beautiful ivory color at maturity, and its excellent health profile.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Aromatic Flavor: Outstanding, sweet-sour taste with a typical, robust pineapple note.
  • Large Fruits: Average weight of up to 155 g.
  • High Resistance: Fully resistant to scab, powdery mildew, and fruit rot.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Roundish-conical fruits, yellow to ivory with an orange blush on the sunny side. The flesh is firm and juicy.
  • Harvest Time: Late August to early September. Keeps in the cellar until December.

2. Apple 'Vidzemes Zelta Renete' (Autumn Variety)

Livonian Gold Rennet – a historical, extremely productive variety from the 19th century, ideal for canning and compotes.

The harvest continues seamlessly with the classic variety 'Vidzemes Zelta Renete' (known in the Baltics as 'Liivi kuldrenett'). Cultivated since 1883, it is one of the most productive varieties of the Baltics.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Extreme Productivity: One of the most historically productive and regularly bearing varieties.
  • Ideal for Canning: The firm, yellowish-white flesh with a fine sweet-sour taste retains its shape perfectly during processing.
  • Good Resistance: The fruits are naturally scab-resistant.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Small to medium-sized round fruits, yellow with a light red blush on the sunny side.
  • Harvest Time: In the first half of September.
  • Storability: Good, the apples keep in the cellar in excellent condition until December or January.

3. Apple 'Rāja' (Early Winter Variety)

The Winter Prelude: A rare Latvian variety with a beautiful red blush, scab-free skin, and a sweet-sour aromatic flavor.

In mid-autumn, the rare Latvian selection 'Rāja' ripens. It is an early winter apple that closes the growing season and moves the harvest into the cellar. The fruits are not only visually gorgeous but are highly scab-resistant and can be stored well into the spring.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Excellent storability: When stored properly, the apples last until March.
  • Large, attractive fruits: The yellow base color is covered with an intense and appealing red blush.
  • Health status: Highly resistant to apple scab.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance: Large to very large conical fruits. Excellent, sweet-sour, and aromatic flesh.
  • Harvest Time: Harvested from mid to late September.

4. Apple 'Zarja Alatau' (Winter Variety with Long Storability)

A Kazakh winter apple featuring extreme cold resistance and outstanding fruit shelf life until late spring (April).

This unique family tree is closed by the 'Zarja Alatau' variety from Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is distinguished by excellent wood frost hardiness (down to -35 °C) and a massive yield potential. A reliable winter variety for long-term storage.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Outstanding storability: Apples remain fresh in the cellar until April without loss of quality.
  • Good fruit quality: Creamy, firm, fine-grained, and very juicy flesh with a pronounced aroma.
  • Cold resistance: The tree tolerates harsh winters and spring temperature fluctuations with ease.
Fruit and Harvest
  • Appearance and Taste: Smaller to medium-sized, round-conical fruits of yellow color. Sweet-sour with a strong aroma.
  • Harvest Time: Late September to October.
