1. Apple 'Gita' (Early Autumn Variety)

A dark red beauty with crunchy flesh that kicks off the harvest on this tree in mid-September.

The season is opened by the Latvian variety 'Gita', a cross between 'Liberty' and 'Melba'. It attracts with its spreading growth, large dark leaves, and huge, deep dark red fruits that decorate the canopy. It is highly valued for its consistent annual heavy crops.

Main advantages of the variety:

• Premium quality: Large, visually highly attractive fruits with a white waxy bloom.
• Crunchy flesh: Firm, crunchy, and very juicy creamy-white flesh.
• High resistance: Scab-resistant (Vf/Rvi6 gene) with good frost hardiness.

Right after 'Gita', the Latvian variety 'Dace' (2009) ripens. It features a compact growth habit, excellent branching, and bears regularly and heavily every year. It has a unique ability to self-regulate its flower set.

• Large, sweet fruits: 70 – 100 mm in diameter with an intense bluish waxy bloom and a distinct sweetness.
• No thinning required: The variety naturally regulates fruit set, ensuring fruits are always large.

3. Apple 'Andris' (Winter Variety)

An excellent apple intended for long-term storage with high resistance to wood diseases.

The smooth transition to your winter supply is secured by the promising Latvian selection 'Andris' (currently under the code AMD-12-15-15). This is a winter variety whose role is to move your harvest from the garden into the cellar. The fruits are highly rated for their sweet-sour flavor.

• Long storability: Ideal winter variety for the cellar.
• Resistance: Highly resistant to scab and apple canker.
• Manageability: The crown is very easy to maintain by pruning.

4. Apple 'Ligita' (Winter Variety with Long Storability)

The perfect winter finale. Attractive yellow apples with comprehensive disease resistance and storability well into spring.

The family tree is grandly completed by the modern Latvian variety 'Ligita' (2009). It ensures you have excellent, crunchy apples for the long winter months. It is an exceptionally healthy variety, absolutely perfect for organic growing without chemicals.

Main advantages of the variety:

• Comprehensive resistance: Immune to apple scab (Vf/Rvi6 gene) and highly resistant to powdery mildew and fruit rot.
• Long storability: Apples remain in superb condition in a standard cellar for 5–6 months.
